My house is haunted by the strangest ghost; Some sad eyed spirit with nowhere better to go I put the kettle on and ask his news And make up stories about the important things I must urgently do, and It's not that he walks through walls But I can never get him out of my loungeroom and It's not that he makes me think of death It's just that he terrifies my friends And just when I've gone past caring he sits there staring he sits there He's grinning there, floating in mid-air… My house is haunted by the weirdest beast Some cartoon figure playing on our sympathies. Motor stopped at footpath, footsteps up the drive, Not what you'd call dead, but something much less than what you'd call alive… It's not that he walks through walls… And I don't say too much, Frankly, nobody does Hope he goes away and stop bothering us I don't say too much, just let it settle and crush: And I can hear the heartstrings snapping As I sit on the floor and wait for something to happen Creeping under the door, once more out of the house dear friends! My house is haunted by the strangest ghost Creeping in with the lights off and the doors and windows closed Because you're not safe in your own home anymore, you're afraid to stay inside And you just might send him back to the grave if it wasn't so impolite. It's not that he walks through walls But I can never get him out of my loungeroom and It's not that he makes me think of death It's just that he terrifies my friends It's not that he's visible There's a presence he leaves that sticks like a stain here still Like the ring in his coffee cup, Prints on the photos that you've never touched and Just when I've gone past caring he sits there staring he sits there He's grinning there, floating in mid-air… And I don't think that I protest too much.

Bring on the ice age Bring on the climate change Bring on oblivion, perfectly warm Plunge indirectly, Spiral out endlessly Burst in the heart of the Jupiter storm Shoemaker-Levy Herald catastrophe Pouring all over me Dusted all over me Given the portents, Given the precedents This won't be the last time That this is the last time I put faith in sense I put faith in accidents One hundred per cent One hundred per cent It's wonderful! Such a wonderful birthday! The tail end of history How perfect it is to me How thoroughly apt It's a celestial error Our primal hysteria It's perfect in every way Except for the facts Shoemaker-Levy Jupiter gravity Pouring all over me Dusted Dusted Given the portents…

about

The second (released) EP, with the Phase 2 line up. Drummer Nick Parnell left not long after the release of the EP and was replaced by Jeremy Reglar (who appears on Little My, as it happens: FORESHADOWING!), and that became the final line up of the band.

In 1997 NL chose to leave and rather than attempt to replace him Andrew, Todd and Jeremy ended the band, met Sasha Pazeski and formed Career Girls.
