I put the kettle on and ask his news
And make up stories about the important things I must urgently do, and
It's not that he walks through walls
But I can never get him out of my loungeroom and
It's not that he makes me think of death
It's just that he terrifies my friends
And just when I've gone past caring he sits there staring he sits there
He's grinning there, floating in mid-air…
My house is haunted by the weirdest beast
Some cartoon figure playing on our sympathies.
Motor stopped at footpath, footsteps up the drive,
Not what you'd call dead, but something much less than what you'd call alive…
It's not that he walks through walls…

Frankly, nobody does
Hope he goes away and stop bothering us
